| 373838 | 2005-07-20 10:21:00 | Anyone else being inundated with phishing webbot [sic] trojan emails with catchy titles like; Your Banned from Administrator @ youremail.net .nz and and Access Violation from Support @ youremail.net .nz, You Have Exceeded You Bandwidth from Webmaster @ youremail.net .nz . The usual spam titles, all witin a few kb of 131KB each. I've been getting them for about the past week but it's increased to about 50 or 60 of these suckers in the past couple of days. Obviously enough people have gone and clicked the emails and attachments. I'd set it up for them to be stomped on at my host, but I get enough attachements for this not to be viable, yet. Anyway, be careful out there. Make sure your AV is upto date and scans incoming email. Don't go clicking on emails, especially one with attachements, you are not absolutely sure who it's coming from. |
