Edit: The England of my birth has now totally disappeared. Very interesting man Enoch Powell. I first came across him mentioned in the same breath as the BNP. The more I have read of him, the more I like the guy. There is nothing wrong per se with multiculturalism bar one thing - it is easy to point the finger at. All those swarthy types with strange accents, mannerisms and clothing. What you are seeing now is a small section of society that has been seduced and tricked by an evil death cult. It has happened before, it will happen again. And the response should be the same - seek them out and destroy them with the full force of the law. |

You may have some valid points,but to suggest that mistakes of the past have any relevance to the desire to blow up innocent people ad nauseam is beyond me. |

Your logic is mighty strange to say the least Metla. How on earth can Britains' bloody history lead you to the conclusion that the England of my birth is a fantasy??? You probably have no idea what the England of my birth was like, and I didn't describe it in any way, so your statement linking those two concepts together has little meaning and is quite without logic. Perhaps you think I only dreamt I was born in England? I don't disagree that England has a long and bloody history, so has virtually every other country, that is nothing remarkable in human behaviour. Anyway, coming back to Enoch Powell, for those who were around at that time, most will agree he was a powerful debater. In those days we used to have some pretty good TV debate programs. NZ TV has nothing comparable. Powells' logic was so keen and precise that I never saw him bested in any debate. He was reviled because he compained against uncontrolled immigration, and warned of the problems that could arise. Now he wasn't a "racist" in the current meaning of the word, and he didn't incite, but he was an acute observer of human nature, and could foresee trouble looming, and actually dared to voice those views. As some may remember, but for those who don't, it is salutary to recall there have been race riots in Nottingham, Notting Hill, Handsworth, Tottenham, Brixton, Toxteth, Peckenham, Oldham, Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Bristol, Bradford, to name just the well known places. That is one of the problems of multiculturism, and the dangers that can arise from what one could call the "sub-human" behaviour of humans on both sides. Now we have just seen another example. |
