662842 2008-04-26 08:40:00 Hi
My Graphics card (as seen is signature) has been stuffing up in COD4, it runs gr8 but occasionally the screen will either freeze or go blank and monitor will say "no video input" and will stay like that for around 5 secs then continue and a little bubble will come from the taskbar saying that "Your graphics driver stopped responding" or something similar, my monitor is a philips 170s lcd. It is a 3-4 month old card so im not too pleased:crying
all help/suggestions appreciated
thanks

662845 2008-04-26 22:45:00 Dont use Windows drivers, or get drivers from the windowsupdate site

Get them from Nvidia or ATI, or whatever site

662846 2008-04-26 23:03:00 Is that not what windows update does? a helpless random (13059)
662847 2008-04-26 23:06:00 Is that not what windows update does?

Yer but the drivers there usually screw a system up.

Get the drivers from the maker's site not from the WU site

The drivers from the WU site, maybe smaller, but theyre also crappier

662850 2008-04-28 13:10:00 I had issues with the drivers on this card when I had it, try using omega drivers in place of the official ones. I found that they improved stability and performance a bit. DaveBritton (7395)
