663599 2008-05-02 10:27:00 My national speed is ok, but many international sites are slow as anything. Try doing a speedtest.net to new york, and see what your readings are.

d/l 204kbps u/l 363 New York 9.30pm
d/l 355 u/l 545 L.A. 9.25pm

Doesn't that then show you that you are also having trouble with international websites too?

My national download speed is 4444, while my international speed to NY is 224. That is a huge difference in speeds.

Sorry I left a figure out. For 237 please read 3237.

And it's much about the same today. Upload is up to 608.

Don't think so. Xtra was 4+ times faster than Xnet at 8.15 last night, testing to L.A. (2180kbps)

663607 2008-05-04 08:40:00 Well at last I've joined everyone with slow download speeds.

Within NZ .All Normal Downloads 4000 plus. Uploads 700 plus.

Australia. All six cities, Downloads under 450. Uploads all over 450. SCREWY!

New York. Download 226. Upload 77'

Johanisberg . Couldn't even connect.

OK who do I blame? Xnet or Telecom? My money's on Telecom.

663608 2008-05-04 09:47:00 It's actually Xnet's fault.

Telecom's job ends when they've moved your data to Xnet, and they did it good... which can be seen from your excellent national speed. The problem lies with Xnet not provisioning enough international bandwidth - hence your subpar international speed, even to Australia.

I've since moved to Snap, and here are some speedtest taken now:
