663579 2008-05-01 04:26:00 Its not just Xnet - I'm with telstra Cable and some of the overseas sites are shocking today.

I have been trying to get into Microsoft's eOpen to get the license codes for some customers software - What a joke At the beginning of the day the pages had been taking ages to load, or time out, now ever since about 11.00am all I get is This Error Message (www.imagef1.net.nz) or Page not found.

Okay - who pulled the plug or forgot to pay the server bills this month ;)

663580 2008-05-01 10:11:00 D/L speeds are pathetic from overseas at present, 9.15pm Thursday.
London 276kbps
L.A. 453kbps
Perth 622kbps. Perth is usually fast
Auckland 6400kbps
On Xnet

You can say that again. But it seems that they have a lesser share of the overseas bandwidth than a few months ago? And now more people are on the internet with longer evenings.

The local (Auckland) speed is still fine.

663583 2008-05-01 11:13:00 My service has been crap for a couple of months, Sent them an email asking them to outline how and when it will be sorted.

No reply yet, Depending on what they have to say I'm going to cancel, I disagree with paying for rubbish, I'd rather go without and put the money to better use.

I got a reply, Suggested I change my splitter, done so and haven't had a disconnection since, dunno why I didn't already do that, I have a new in packet spare one beside the outlet for exactly that reason.

Speed is still utter crap, But that was ignored in their reply.

663584 2008-05-01 11:26:00 It is absolute rubbish tonight, some US website are taking minutes to load. At least they have made it easy to change. If it hasn't improved, or they haven't informed their customers about the problem with an outline of what is being done about this by the weekend, I will look at other providers.

They don't even have a message on their status page about the problem. I guess if they don't acknowledge it, it isn't really a problem.

Same here, maybe they are blocking it as they are probably sick of people emailing them with the result.
