Why would it matter which side of the filter the extension cable is on? The ADSL port on the filter isn't filtered, so it should be the same as if you ran a long cable straight from the wall jack to your router. |

I said exactly "do not extend the cable that goes from the modem into your filter to the phone line", there was no mention of which side of any extension the filter is on. Yes, that did assume he has a filter on that socket, he doesn't have to if he doesn't have anything other than his modem plugged into there of course. The point is that using any extension cable between your modem and the phone socket degrades your quality. |
