| 662997 | 2008-04-28 09:09:00 | Hi Guys thanks for the replies. No I haven't got the motherboards or planning on purchasing them, a relative of mine has offered me these which he has as surplus. Basically I'm trying to put together a simple dual core office/internet box for my parents. SolMiester that's what was confusing me they technically are not part of the Core 2 duo series, but have a vast number of similarities in there physical architecture. They are C2D's, just re-branded so as not to draw sales from the more expensive cpu's, thats why they have crippled FSB, lower L2 cache, no Virtual hardware support or trusted Execution instructions. |
