375621 2005-07-27 02:40:00 Actually it is a Live Bookmark.

When you go to a website in Firefox e.g. BBC News (news.bbc.co.uk), the register,etc. A little RSS icon appears in the bottom right. You simply select the icon and a message comes up 'subscribe to RSS' and then it asks to add a bookmark of the RSS feed to your list of bookmarks. I place the bookmark on my bookmark toolbar. This gives me feeds for;

The Car Connection, The Register, The Inquirer, Anandtech News, Anandtech Articles, Secunia Vulnerabilities, MozillaZine, Slashdot, BBCNews.

375623 2005-07-27 06:52:00 On occastion. I find mailing lists better though Edward (31)
375624 2005-07-27 10:15:00 I use RSS feeds all the time, although my RSS feeder is KDE's KNewsTicker. I just set up knewsticker, i like it apart from there seems to be no way to get it to open firefox rather that Konqueror. :(

I've noted that my Gnome flavoured apps (gaim, evolution) open Firefox, and KDE flavoured apps (Kmail, knewsticker) tend to open Konqueror.... Hmmmm

375625 2005-07-27 10:22:00 I just set up knewsticker, i like it apart from there seems to be no way to get it to open firefox rather that Konqueror. :( Easy fix!

Go to KDE Control Centre > KDE Components > Component Chooser. Highlight Web Browser and then select the radio button "in the following browser" and then enter in firefox and click Apply. Now try clicking on a news item. :)

375628 2005-07-28 05:48:00 I use RSS feeds some of the time (Thanks to firefox Live Bookmark), but most of the time I use rss feeds to keep up-to-date on what’s happening over at phpbb.com or on different phpbb related blogs.. stu161204 (123)
375629 2005-07-28 05:51:00 Stu: Keeping up with the phpBB RSS is quick, but I find it plain quicker to subscribe to the mailing list Edward (31)
