2008-04-27 04:33:00 | Hi Team My son's Gmail account is failing to load the inbox screen, all he gets is "Done" at the bottom and a blank screen. It is not a computer problem, because I get the same result logging in on my computer, and Gmail's recommendations don't do anything to help. Zone Alarm settings are ok with correct cookie handling selected, and the problem remains with ZA shut down completely. The usual browser cache clearing has been done and multiple reboots carried out. Any ideas, or similar problems out there? Cheers Billy 8-{) :help: Just checked and my own Gmail account is doing the same thing!!

2008-04-27 05:03:00 | All fine at this end, although yesterday net speed was slow and I found I was sitting on the loading sceen (the dots moving across .....) for some time. Besides that all is well. | rob_on_guitar (4196) | |

Besides that all is well. I assume that differnet accounts are hosted on different servers, so one person may be having problems while others may not. Why don't you email or phone their support to see what the problem is? |

2008-04-27 10:25:00 | My Gmail ok right now in basic HTML mode. Perhaps a network issue if your computer's are networked? Computers are networked but nothing has changed at all that I am aware of, and all other email accounts are working OK. Cheers Billy 8-{) Thinking about it, this is not a network issue because it accepts my password and username, i.e. I can log in etc, the problem is that the login page finally loads blank. By the way, how do I set simple HTML mode if I can't login to a usable page?

2008-04-27 12:48:00 | Normally when your computer takes a long time to load Gmail, it will give you a choice of either proceed to the HTML version of your Gmail or continue waiting. This message only appears after you have log on though. Gmail check at 11.53pm: All good.

2008-04-27 13:04:00 | Working fine here too. What browser(s) have you tried? | beeswax34 (63) | |
2008-04-27 21:35:00 | Same browser I always use, IE, which works fine for everything else and has always worked for Gmail. His access is not actually via a network, he connects straight to the adsl modem via a switch. No other components of the network need to be on for a single computer to access the net or email etc. I may not have made the symptom clear enough though: I can log on, Gmail loads at normal speed and I can see the normal processing messages & data flashing past at the bottom of the screen. However, "Done" is a blank page. The same problem happens on both my computer/my account and my son's computer/his account. So, individually we are logged in and loaded, but the final page is blank. Closing down the firewall (completely) then trying makes no difference. Does that make it any clearer? Cheers Billy 8-{)
