663004 2008-04-27 04:32:00 I'm wanting to buy a printer suitable for inkjet printing onto printable media. I've not found many reviews on this topic and as the F1 family for their experience and advice please. Can anyone recommend a printer that is good quality and robust. I don't care about ink costs; I want a good end result. Cheers guys....... yorkshirekid (9033)
663005 2008-04-27 04:41:00 Hi Yorkie.... Not a printer, but I use LightScribe in which the drive does the printing in subdued tones. Does a nice job and their site has dozens of free templates. Scouse (83)
663006 2008-04-27 04:41:00 Go Canon. They seem to be the most reliable. I have a MP530 but that may be an over kill if you don't want scanner etc.. paulw (1826)
663007 2008-04-29 07:08:00 I have had a Canon Pixma iP 3000 for several years with no problems. The latest model from this range should be good.

663008 2008-04-29 07:58:00 My Pixma Ip3000 is the best printer I have had to date period. runs for cartridges 3 colour and one black they cost about $22 each and seem to last a fair while, great photo's and great for CD's too. gary67 (56)

The Ink carts are now about $25 each. Guess it's the high NZ $$ again and fuel prices, cost of milk etc is the reason for Canon hiking the prices..

works really well, and the software is fairly simple too.

You can get cheap multifunction printers that print on cd now too, they weren't around when I got mine.
