2008-04-30 11:57:00 | 12v ATX adapter...is that the 8 pin connector? No 4 pin There is no 8 pin connection on the mobo It looks like this (www.imagef1.net.nz) Where I've put the circle, and where the arrow is pointing The adapter for it is on the PSU

2008-04-30 12:01:00 | Yea, but if you remove the black cover on the other half it becomes 8 pin....was i not meant to plug in the other half? EDIT: Also, could case plugs be causing this? i.e. hard drive led, power switch, power led etc...

2008-04-30 12:04:00 | Well in the manual what does it say it is?? And whats it called, and whats it for?

2008-04-30 12:08:00 | Also, could case plugs be causing this? i.e. hard drive led, power switch, power led etc... What are the hdd's? SATA or IDE?? If theyre SATA are you using molex adapters for the power? And you did connect the data and power to them, if theyre SATA didnt you? If youre using molex adapters, MAKE SURE theyre making contact. if theyre not the system wont turn on. Or are they connected to the SATA power connectors, from the PSU (without the molex adapter)?

2008-04-30 12:13:00 | Sata hard drives with sata power connectors... Manual says its a 12V power connector....without it pc won't start. I've tried connecting both 8 pins and just 4 pins...and problem still persists...
