664057 2008-04-29 20:53:00 Microsoft Delays XP SP3 Once Again.

YET another reason not to get the service packs from the places that get hold of them, and release before the official ones from Microsoft -Another Bug found (www.crn.com) If any ones having problems this may be part of the reason.

As of 8.00am on the 30th, still nothing on MS download site.

664058 2008-04-29 20:57:00 You can still download it. There's a direct link to it from the MS site. On some MS forums

Which also matches the file thats on the Softpedia site. But it hasnt got the same filename.

I slipstreamed the Softpedia download, and installed it. It's been installed since Sunday, with no probs.

I dont even know what this Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System is !

But everything is fine here

And the size and MD5 match SP3 RTM (according to what most sites say).

664059 2008-04-29 21:02:00 Looks like my problem so I'll do what I usually do with new stuff - wait until all the cr*p has been sorted.

I am on dialup but I would like a copy of this, is PC World going to put it out on the DVD that comes with the mag each month?

664061 2008-04-29 23:10:00 Well , ad least they are fixing a problem before putting it out there. Better then the past mentaility of "we will fix it later" like *cough* vista :D

664064 2008-04-29 23:20:00 "if you are not running Microsoft Dynamics RMS, it is perfectly safe to install XP SP3 or Vista SP1 (which has also been pulled from automatic updates)"
