| 663627 | 2008-04-28 19:42:00 | Hi, which is the best brand for LCD TV but still reasonable and affordable pricing. We want to buy 42" TV. As per I know, Samsung is batter than SONY. But I don't know what is good and what is bad? It will be good to know which other things we should consider for buying TV? And it will be good if anybody let me know the place where we can get better pricing. Thanks, |

Note how fast scrolling writing is perfectly clear on the plasma but almost unreadable on the LCD. Panasonic is a good brand of plasma but be aware of the two different screen finishes. One is the highly reflective 'hard screen' and the other is the non reflective 'soft screen'. Generally the non reflective one is about $1000 dearer but it is much better if it is in rooms with several windows. There is nothing worse than paying several thou for a new telly only to find reflections from the windows, spoil your viewing. | mxpress (6486) | ||

Compare Plasma with LCD, I do not think that Plasma can do Full 1080 High Definition. By the end of the year or early next year they will also have built in Digital Tuners and Dual Tuners that can do the Freeview stuff as opposed to having a separate HD Freeview Set Top Box. That is of course if you are interested in HDTV. It is just a matter of time before everyone has it like the switch from Black & White TV to Colour many years ago. |
