377596 2007-05-07 09:37:00 Regret to say I do not share the public's great admiration for Anthony Hopkins -- he seems very same-ish and boring to me. Whether he is a butler or Hannibal Lector he just seems the same (though he was good in the bookshop one). Each to his own though !!
Misty
Have to revise my opinion quite markedly - Anthony is really marvellous in "The World's Fastest Indian" !!

377597 2007-05-07 23:25:00 Jack Black!!

I also am keeping an eye on Edward Norton for actual acting, he picks obscure roles and does an excellent job. He is still a realtive newby but yea, as for the oldies, Jack Nicholson, Christopher Lee (although Im a Boris fan myself),

377598 2007-05-08 09:28:00 What a lot of rot. There's no such thing as a movie star. Mostly a bunch of over paid twits with about as many brains as the people who go to see them prancing around on the screen.
Like Ronald Reagan. Couldn't even act like a president.

Fairly sure that they are paid more than you or I though Jack!
Similar to certain politicians here.

The last movie I went to in a theatre was "The Man from Snowy River." Please forgive me as I lived in Australia at the time.

I mostly read books. Fact ( or so called ) and Fiction as well. So long as well researched and well written I can use my imagination to picture it.

Star of the day for me could be John Cleese.

Fawlty Towers is on again tonight.
