378225 2005-08-04 23:12:00 Vodafone's 3G network is supposed to go public in the next couple of months, (end of this one from memory) I would assume this comes with new data plans, seeing as you'll be able to do a MB in a few seconds.

You may want to wait and see what happens with that before you get locked into a contract.

BTW, what are you using as a SSH client? I tried to get putty for pocket PC running on my ipaq, but it locked up every time.

The vodafone store down the road from my work has the displays and posters up already - they told me it'd be either the week of the 15th or the week of the 22nd.

The GPRS launch was the same. I have seen it going, and the vodafone kiosk guys have been to "training" on it, so it has got to be the launch real soon.

378228 2005-08-05 03:25:00 I am on a Telecom Mobile 100 MB plan ($52.44) = $0.71 a MB excess.

I have a Harrier PDA and use of for email, web surfing and MSN. I also use it as a 2Mbit/s modem for my Tablet/Laptop for connecting to work on the road.

378231 2005-08-05 20:47:00 Does this mean my iMate JAM wont work?

Ive found a few Java-based SSH clients which I believe I can install with my midlet manager. Either that or I'll find a native one for WinCE 3.0 :)

378233 2005-08-05 23:54:00 Do u find that if something goes wrong with your mobile which you bought overseas.Vodafone actually always says that since you bought this mobile overseas it cannot be guarantee that it will work with our network.

The nokia 6680 still can't access the main vodafone wap site and all they can say is that.

Hmm..Sent my mobile back to nokia hk and see if they can help but it really annoys me they can just use that excuse.

Checked everything its certainly not my mobile thats having the problem

I belive nokia 6680 will soon be release here. It'lll be interesting to see what will happens if i bring this problem back to them again once this mobile comes out

It can't access the wap site, or just can't see the pictures? If the former, try adding the port numbers 9210 to the end of 172.030.038.003. Ie 172.030.038.003:9210

If you don't see pictures, then it's normal. All the mobilesd I have that are not sold in NZ, I think Vodafone Live "senses the phone", and if it's not listed as comptabile, they'll give you this B&W page instead.

I took 3 months to sort out my LGu8130 for Vodafone Live, those are my "research results"... Anyone has solutions for pxt (MMS), please tell me
