664397 2008-04-30 11:42:00 And whats the mobo / specs of it??

Did you plug the 12v ATX adapter into the mobo connection?

Thats one thing people usually forget to plug in

664399 2008-04-30 11:44:00 get a pc analyser card that plugs into the PCI or parallel/usb port and use it to diagnose where it gets stuck williamF (115)

No 4 pin

There is no 8 pin connection on the mobo

It looks like this (www.imagef1.net.nz)

Where I've put the circle, and where the arrow is pointing

The adapter for it is on the PSU

664402 2008-04-30 12:01:00 Yea, but if you remove the black cover on the other half it becomes 8 pin....was i not meant to plug in the other half?

EDIT:
Also, could case plugs be causing this? i.e. hard drive led, power switch, power led etc...
EviLClouD (12981)
664403 2008-04-30 12:04:00 Well in the manual what does it say it is??

And whats it called, and whats it for?

What are the hdd's? SATA or IDE??

If theyre SATA are you using molex adapters for the power?

And you did connect the data and power to them, if theyre SATA didnt you?

If youre using molex adapters, MAKE SURE theyre making contact. if theyre not the system wont turn on.

Or are they connected to the SATA power connectors, from the PSU (without the molex adapter)?

664405 2008-04-30 12:13:00 Sata hard drives with sata power connectors...

Manual says its a 12V power connector....without it pc won't start. I've tried connecting both 8 pins and just 4 pins...and problem still persists...
