664246 2008-04-30 06:45:00 I've bought an ultra-portable pc (no optical drive) which comes with Vista.
I want to blow away Vista and install XP Pro.
Needless to say I don't want to splurge on a portable optical drive.
I have a 2gb usb key which could hold the XP install files.
Can you do this? How?

664249 2008-04-30 12:07:00 Here's a tutorial from toms hardware (www.tomshardware.com) (condensed XP for emergency using the free bartpe builder) and for a full USB - XP boot up visit this (www.ngine.de) (lot of full on editing though). Both require the XP disc for editing and re-editing... kahawai chaser (3545)
