| 663748 | 2008-04-29 03:13:00 | I've recently installed Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2008 on my PC, I am running Windows XP Home edition and Outlook 2002 . I've noticed a problem when trying to send large e-mails e . g . e-mails with attachments or with images embedded in them . When I send them Outlook reports that they are being sent but after a while I get an error message saying that Outlook timed out trying to connect to the sending server and to contact my ISP . The e-mails remain in the Outbox and never get moved to the Sent Items folder, but they are actually sent as I have had people telling me they have received the same e-mail several times ('cos we thought it hadn't been sent we kept trying) and when I send them to myself I get the same error message and results but I do receive the e-mail . I turned off Trend Micro and it all works fine, so I have disabled the scanning of outgoing mail in case that was the problem but that didn't help . Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas how to fix this problem? Cheers SH |

No my problem was different to that, I'd already checked out that site but couldn't find the problem and that's when I decided to ask the good folks of Press F1 :) The problem is now fixed, I changed my firewall network profile in trend Micro and extended the time out period in my e-mail account and it seems to have done the trick. Thanks to everyone for their responses.:thanks |
