665354	2008-05-03 05:20:00	Hey all I'm considering upgrading from avast 4.8 home to Eset nod32 AV. My question - Do I need to buy two licenses for both XP and Vista on my dualboot machine or can I (legally) install it on both with a single license with no probs. Also I may buy Smart security depending on it's firewall strength - I'm using ZA Free currently - is it a worth the extra lollie?? I want to support the guys at Eset as they make the best AV IMO!! :D	jwil1 (65)

I want to support the guys at Eset as they make the best AV IMO!! :D Answer 1: No you dont need to buy two licenses, Its the Same PC, doesnt matter how many OS's you have on the one machine. (thats direct from the NZ distributers by the way) I had to ask that same question last year on a customers dual boot vista/XP. Answer 2: Smart security is no where as Pushy as ZA, it simply does its thing and you dont even know it, until someone / thing tried to get in - then WHAM - stopped ya! AND Nod32 detects something in ZA as a"bug", stops ZA from working and in most cases even stops you down loading ZA, it gets around 95% downloaded then kills the download.	wainuitech (129)

665360	2008-05-03 10:17:00	Be cautious about installing Nod 32 without removing any existing AV installations. I have heard today about someone who installed it without removing Norton AV and crashed the computer so severely that it needed a DOS approach to get it going again. On the other hand, someone else installed it alongside McAffee without problems. Apparently NOD 32 comes with instructions to remove all other AV prog before installing it.	Robin S_ (86)
665361	2008-05-03 10:22:00	Nod32 when installing looks for any other installed antivirus and warns of problems when it locates any. It does give you the option to install regardless (it doesn't actually disable the other AV) but advises against installing both, and suggests stopping and removing the Other AV first - SO if a person carries on and ignores the warning its their own fault if they have problems.	wainuitech (129)

You should never run more than 1 AV program at once on a PC - especially if one of them is Nortons :yuck:	autechre (266)
