Lol, used that one before - a very believable screensaver!

Very nice!

I am very pleased that I am not your friend. Friends just do not do that in my opinion. That sort of thing may cause "your friend" to take the computer to a technician.

665033 2008-05-02 11:35:00 That particular one is quite harmless.

If you move the mouse it wont disengage it like most screen savers, you need to hit any key to get the screen back.

I did see one similar to this not to long ago, came across it by accident that you could set the keys so you had to hit a predefined key combo to turn it off --- Now that was a real nasty trick - it acted like a real BSOD - total lockup until that key combo was applied.:waughh:

This site (www.lizardworks.com) Has a whole heap of pranks - But I have never tried any of them so if you use them - use at your own risk - beating :)

That site must have been around for awhile:

4) How to kill a prank that is driving you crazy:
* In Windows 3.x: hit [ctrl][esc] to bring up the Task Manager and use the arrow keys to move down to the prank, then hit [alt][e] to end the task.

That screensaver was not originally made by you-know-who, it was actually made by Sysinternals, which YKW bought later. ;)

665037 2008-05-02 23:04:00 Thanks but would it be possible to have one that is like a proper blue screen that you have to reset to continue so that he thinks its real, then it never happens again? a helpless random (13059)
665038 2008-05-03 00:23:00 That screensaver was not originally made by you-know-who, it was actually made by Sysinternals, which YKW bought later. ;) Yep its been around for ages, and it even says in the instructions
Simply copy Sysinternals BLUESCRN.SCR to your \system32 directory a helpless random just asked where to get it - not how old it is. :) Lots of places like that.

If any ones got a better one / location then post a link - anyone can make comments on other peoples suggestions - real help is when its actually helpful to the poster:p

Thanks but would it be possible to have one that is like a proper blue screen that you have to reset to continue so that he thinks its real, then it never happens again?

I'll try to locate the one I mentioned above, the one that needs to have a certain key stroke entered to deactivate it.
There is one I found a while back as well that you change the exe file relating to a program and when that program is opened it bluescreens, since its actually the prank- Eg: double click outlook Express icon but you are actually activating the BSOD exe.--OH hold on OE does that on its own doesn't it
