I remember whrn that IC first came out it was about $200 or so now it is just a few dollors

Anyway i have the circuit, its just i need to get it onto veroboard, cause my circuit diagram shows pins 2,8,6 on the same side and of course they arent

378934 2005-08-07 02:58:00 Remember that especially for the standard (non-CMOS) 555 it's a very good idea to put a .047 uF decoupling capacitor from pin 5 to ground. I often see circuits with it missing. This can cause problems. ;)

Anyway, who uses 555s these days? PixAxe 08-M (www.sicom.co.nz) is the way to go. :cool: It will even play tunes.
