I can understand why there is a difference between torrent downloads and, for example updates and ftp downloads, due to torrents needing peers/seeds. |

| 664706 | 2008-05-01 22:13:00 | Probably because of the 1/2 open connections in XP (If SP2/SP3) is installed, it's only 10. Unless you use that patch, to change them This was done because of P2P programs / torrents. So you wouldnt get covered in worms And, Linux doesnt have this limitation. |

It'll make a copy of the original tcpip.sys file and change the 1/2 open ports on the new file. Just dont get too carried away with how many you change it to. I've just changed mine to 300. |
