Or it will take the connection from your Sky decoder.

It won't pick up Freeview via the satellite (DVB-S) and no point getting a TV card that does DVB-T yet as it is not available in Whangarei.

Ok all i want to do is have the decoded output for sky (AV) into the Tvtuner and then back out to the tv.

All i need to know is can i do that with this card and what sort of hard ware (cpu, ram) will i need to run it nicely.

664516 2008-05-01 01:45:00 For what your talking about I use a Hauppauge PVR350 Card.

My SKY goes into the DVD/HDD Recorder and also into the TV

I have a double adapter on both on each of the Red/Yellow/White cables on my DVD/HDD recorder on both In and Out so that what goes to to or from my DVD/HDD Recorder feeds to my PC.

Those cables go to a Connexia 4 way splitter box. (DSE)
From the Splitter Box go to the Wall sockets and high quality cables in the wall to my Office.
I have another Connexia 4 way splitter box. (DSE) in My Office
Wall to the Splitter Box.
Splitter Box to the PC In
PC to the Splitter Box Out

By pressing buttons I can receive and record TV from the Current Sky Channel or from the HDD/DVD recorder.

By pressing buttons I can play recorded TV from my PC back to the TV

It is not perfect but it works for me at the moment. Might have to get it set up better for HDTV in the future.

My Old PC with Pentium 4 3.2 and 2Gb ram used to handle this no problem.
