I got a combo DVD/VCR about 6 months ago as an interim measure until cheaper DVD hard drive recorders/writers were available. My one cost just over $300 from Noel Leemings (I think) and is a Black Diamond DVC6500 which also does video CD's, MP3's and CD-RW's. It has front AV ports as well, and the only gripe I have about it is the lack of G-code programming. |

Seems we are all waiting for DVD hard drive recorders/writers,include LCD TV for me,I want it better and cheaper..2years I reckon and patience is a virtue. |

Ok, I bought the Panasonic and it was simple to setup and easy to use. I've consequently got a spare DVD player but can use it ealse where.
As for copying all the VHS to DVD? I have the technology to do that - but not the patience. :cool: |
