665114	2008-05-03 00:15:00	Hi, my parents are runnign windows 2000 professional and the clock keeps resetting to year 2000. I have replaced the battery with what I thought was a working battery, and still this problem is occuring. I change the date and time in the bios, then when it starts up its back to 2000. Is there another explanation, or do I need another battery?	Buff_K (691)
665115	2008-05-03 00:28:00	Heard of that once - the fix was to go into the Control Panel - date/time settings and disable Automatically adjust for daylight saving. ( on XP its in the time Zone Tab) I dont have a win2000 to check it.	wainuitech (129)

665117	2008-05-10 20:32:00	I've tried another battery and still the clock is being reset, regardless of whether Automotically Adjust for Daylight Savings is selected. Anyone else got any ideas? Wouldn't matter so much exept for sending emails from outlook you must fix the time.	Buff_K (691)

Set the date/time in the bios then kill the power before the computer has a chance to load Windows, leave for a few minutes then reboot and go into the bios and check the date/time. If it has reset the problem is not related to Windows. What's the motherboard make and model?	stormdragon (6013)
665119	2008-05-11 01:11:00	Seems to be a windows problem as I turned off for a few minutes then went into bios and the correct time showed. I'm not sure whta the mobo is. thanks for your help.	Buff_K (691)
