I have an issue that you may be able to help me with. I have an old ghost image (2002) of an IBM T-40 saved in an archive folder. Recently I recieved a T-40 that needs to be reformatted with a fresh install. I am now using 2003 Symantec GS. The server is not connected to the domain. The archived image is 9.7 GB. I am using a 320GB USB external drive. I am going to try and save the old image to the external hard drive and then transfer it to the new ghost server. Will this work with 2003? Can I just transfer the image and then load it into ghost server, use the same bootable disk I use for new IBM laptops, start the ghost process....and it works? Is there a better, more intellegent way of doing this? Can I make a bootable CD from the .gho files in the archived folder? This is fairly new to me. Basically I need to get old saved image to the laptop and I am not sure the best way to do it? Any ideas? |
