2008-05-02 00:20:00 | Anybody got an opinion regarding Viewsonic's VX1940W LCD monitor? (It's quite cheap online.....) I need 19inch - not enough room for larger (work in a shoebox). Any good choices out there? Do quite a bit of gaming so want he usual specs for same. Thanx in advance.

2008-05-02 00:36:00 | I have two viewsonics on the desk in front of me A VX2235 and aVX924. One is three years old and the other about six months. I don't have a single complaint about either of them. I'm now considering a 30 inch. In other words I love Viewsonic

Amen - I bought a VA903B about a year ago, and I love it. It's just a basic model - no DVI or hight-adjustment, but it got great reviews, was really well priced. I'd highly recommend them  |

2008-05-02 01:37:00 | ViewSonic, good brand, I sell lots of them, and the warranties are great also, three year warranty. Had a customer two weeks ago, had a 17" Viewsonic that I sold them 2 years & 10 months ago, the back light went on it, Sent it to Viewsonic for warranty / replacement, 4 days later a 19" replacement turned up  With a note saying replaced / upgraded etc.

2008-05-02 02:08:00 | I have used viewsonic before (CRT's) and have the same high opinion of them as a brand. My query re the VX1940W relates to the particular model. It is quite hi res for a 19inch and as a result, images are quite small. Has anyone used that particular model and how was it?

2008-05-02 02:30:00 | With the Viewsonic's when you start up the PC it suggests the native resolution - which is small, but you do get a sharper picture. What you have to do, is when that message pops up, ( from memory) you press the #1 button on the monitor adjustment buttons to accept the suggested resolution, or #2 to disable that message. (could be the other way around, but it does say) then you adjust the resolution to suit your likes, as well as font sizes, and Icon sizes if you want to.
