| 664623 | 2008-05-01 07:51:00 | I have a standard speaker system connected to my onboard audio out (1/8" jack) and have just bought a USB mic/phones headset. Currently when I plug in the USB headset it overrides the speakers and sound comes through them, but when I want to listen through speakers again Im lost as how to point the sound back to the 1/8" output. Any suggestions/ideas? |

It has changed the default device to the headset(logitech USB headset), however changing the default back (to Realtek HD Audio output) and applying doesnt make a difference. sound still defaults to headset. Currently have to restart computer to get audio back out through speakers. | rapscallion (13686) | ||

Its either one or the other, unless a program came with them. So, you can disable it You may be able to turn it down/off, under under volume control, and tick the sound for the speakers? |

Might be worth a try. However, some of the more audio-aware programs (Skype, WMP as examples) can be set to use a particular device by default. |
