| 664533 | 2008-05-01 02:24:00 | OK . . . playing my new digital converter box into the cable-in thing-y and all's fine for a while . . even longer sometimes . BUT . . . every once-in-a-while the screen ceases playing any video and the sound also quits until I hit my "ESC" key . . and then it all comes back . Any ideas? I thought it might be a RAM SWAMP-thing (not the movie) . . . but I am at a loss if it is on how to correct this . I don't think it's a heat build up . . . as I can get it right back with no other problems or warnings . I have enabled ALL the alarms and bells via my BIOS in the SOYO set up . . and I don't get any of them either . It even monitors all my expansion cards if they have heat sensors on them . . . . . (the VID card does) . |

| 664535 | 2008-05-01 02:45:00 | Joe is this Hauppage WinTV2000 software you are talking about? It is the only reference to WinTV2000 I can see. IF it is, update to the new WinTVCD 4_4.exe software on the Hauppage.co.uk site, works much better. |

But I get a little gun shy at new updates...I got one a long time ago for that card...last year and it took me 3 months to get the thing fixed again.... Let me try and see if I can get it updated...but stand by as I am sure this is gonna be another "L" installation and all the pratfalls...again! |

The most recent was only about 28th April approx and works great. Make sure and run hwclear first and remove all previous stuff, reboot then install the drivers HcwDriverInstall then you can install the WinTV program. |

| 664539 | 2008-05-01 03:20:00 | OK . . . last time I hadda physically remove the card too and then install the drivers, shut down and reinstall the card and hope it found the drivers by itself . It took a few tries and finally I got it running . This shutting-down problem has just surfaced in the last 1/2 day or so . . . I was hoping it was a simple tweak like some more page-file or so . . . but alas! Gack! Double Gack! |

| 664540 | 2008-05-01 03:24:00 | I don't let it install the drivers itself. run the driver install and just ignore the windows looking for drivers thing. once you reboot all will be sweet. You do need to run hwclear first and reboot for them to install properly. It has a tutorial on the hauppage.co.uk site. What make/model card is it? |
