380000 2005-08-10 02:01:00 Ohhhh, tools, slabber slabber drool.

There are some really very good battery powered tools coming out these days. I have a soft spot for DeWalt tools myself.

380001 2005-08-10 02:20:00 DeWalt are pricier but good quality, and will stand up to heavy use.

What I can never understand with cordless drills is why so many are advertised as as having this tremendous advantage of having keyless chucks, just about the most stupidest and impractical, cost saving idea ever, as though being keyless is better than a keyed chuck

I have the 18v Riobi one,has 135 nm of torque as apposed to 30 for an ordinary drill.

380003 2005-08-10 02:28:00 LOL

Its a drill for goodness sake......:p but will admit we have about 3 of these things and the latest is only a couple weeks old, came with 2 bats.....LOL

and i recall its red so it goes faster than yours...:p

I really cannot understand the drool bit, it has to be a male thing doesnt it? HWMO does it to, and you cannot walk into his shed currently due to all the projects he has on the go..... :illogical

But then i spose all my puter toys are just as bad.....:D

Surely more convenient than using key.I agree that sometimes they don't grip as well, but I have found on good quality drills there is little problem.
I might add the impact driver doesn't have a chuck as such, simply a collar that is pushed forward and bit inserted.Remember this is a driver not a drill.
