| 379086 | 2005-08-07 02:56:00 | Free computer to those having a tough time. Computer: 500 MHz, 168MB, 8GB HDD, Operating system up to you. 17 Screen with speakers, mouse, and keyboard. 2USB 1 Ports Free to peron/s that are having a tough time financially. I would have to filter somehow that you are having a tough time financially so it would require some sort of proof, but providing this is met, I would be willing for this computer to go somewhere where it could be used in a good fashion. I assume its possible the people reading this have a computer; you may want to consider that if you know someone who cant afford one and would benefit from it to see they are interested. Unfortunately there is only one, so I guess if the financial criteria meets it would be appropriate to find with x amount of resources the greater gain computable for its new home which I wont define in a formula. A formula would be good but amount of things to consider is currently beyond the quantification of equipment offered for free. Thank you, Creighton Brown Email admin@digitalbuilder.co.nz |

| 379089 | 2005-08-07 03:13:00 | You were almost coherent... until this: I would seriously question someones morals if they criticize someone who tries to do something good. In ideals there is tolerabality to acheive, if its good then you would place weight on the gain and not try and reduce it from achieving good. To propose discouragement of good is more a means of that which is not to be good. |

| 379091 | 2005-08-07 03:25:00 | I am unsubcribing from this thread, as I suspect ninja, in the face of what may be right wishes to argue stating it may not be right to try and help the poor, at a topological level saying it was unsound. Anyone who wishes to discuss acquiring the computer may email me. Thank you. |

| 379093 | 2005-08-07 04:49:00 | Free computer to those having a tough time. Creighton Brown Email admin@digitalbuilder.co.nz A friend of mine knows a family, father with major medical problems, therefore not working, kids at school etc etc. The teacher apparently sent one of the kids home with a note saying he was to have some kind of PC for homeowrk. My friend has been scouring TM dismally. I personally would speak to this teacher and ask her what was wrong with the library and why she thought PCs are some magic education thing even for poverty families. But I'll pass this to my friend anyway.... |
