| 666099 | 2008-05-05 02:52:00 | Does anyone know of a free program to convert a mkv (Matroska Video File) to avi format so i can then put it onto a DVD? I've looked through Google and all i get there are programs that cost $$ or if they are shareware will only output a 1MB file untill you have paid up. This is probably only a thing I will do very occasionally (if at all again) so i don't really want to pay for a program if i can find a free alternative. as always, many thanks in advance! |

Some handle it better than others, had a mission trying to convert until I found WinAVI. Surely you'd be better installing ffmpeg or something to decode the video so you can use it with your favorite DVD conversion program like Nero Vision or whatever? |
