2008-05-04 11:48:00 | When I right click on a file to "save as", the folder I am saving to shows all files in list view. Any way to change that to details view? | bpt2 (6653) | |
2008-05-04 18:20:00 | when you right click what? you mean in a browser? doesn't matter anyway; it's always the same window layout/button www.imagef1.net.nz :p

2008-05-05 09:45:00 | No wait, in the screenshot that motorbyclist posted, all you need to do is go and change the option to 'Details' view. The default for me is List view as well but I can change it freely using the option in the screenshot above.

2008-05-05 13:23:00 | But that's just it, it always defaults to list view. I want to change that to details view as default. | bpt2 (6653) | |
| 665873 | 2008-05-05 16:01:00 | Q. Is there a way to force Firefox to default to the Thumbnail view when saving a file? I do a lot of image saving and uploading and when I go to save or upload a file the FF "Save Image" screen always defaults to List view. Its a pain in the ass to have to keep changing it every time I want to search for an image. A. I'm 79% sure you can't do this, at least easily. The way the dialog boxes come up in Windows is compiled into the program, and to change it you'd have to decipher the API and rebuild Firefox. The former is not that bad if you've got any programming experience, but the latter is a tall order (but getting simpler and simpler).
