First some unlucky punter got murdered for selling his mate's virtual sword, then another gamer-zombie died trying to be the-greatest-playa-that-ever-was, and now - you may not believe this - some girlfriend-less, no-life has been arrested for committing GBH and robbery in an online game (www.newscientist.com). That is, these crimes were committed virtually. Apparently, he used a bot to do his dirty deeds. Even more suprising, the police are taking it seriously enough to slap him with a conviction in reality. |

In Japan, teens were at a lan party playing diablo2, one of the players over the internet died and the teen at the lan party took his items. Well the player who died didnt appreciate this, so he traced his Ip and the next day came to this lan party and severily beat the poor kid to a pulp. There is also a syndrome going around in Japan where a adolecent who becomes to involved with games completely shuts him/herself out from the rest of the world. Not comming out of the room, or even eating. One japanese boy stayed in his room for over a year in a half, not setting foot out. Now thats crazy. :illogical |
