381202 2005-08-15 23:03:00 Hmmm...

I will vote for the greens with the party vote and unfortunatly its all tied up in my electorate so it doesn't matter with the member vote.

I don't like the greens pot policies, but their "green" image is great. I voted for them 2 elections ago when they said they would stop logging on the west coast. They did. Thier hearts are in the right place even if some of the ideas are a little off the wall.

I noticed that soon after they released their pot policy, back in June/july, their polling dropped, its an off putter, maybe thats why Nandor is now down the list and I gather won't get back in. Otherwise options for parties are thin on the ground.

The greens will keep labour honest, so I am sort of giving a proxy vote to the labor party.

Me too. It seems a bit ironic but I find National too radical. They get some 'brilliant' idea from somewhere like some US think-tank and leap into it with reckless abandon. "Let's sell erverything and everyone will prosper." "Let's cut welfare and there be more people working". "Let's deregulate and let the market figure it out".

I don't think they live in the real world. National is white, male and wealthy like its current boss. Like I said earlier I doubt Don Brash actually knows any of us "ordinary working New Zealanders" he claims to represent. :D

381204 2005-08-15 23:46:00 Well encouragement is nice Cicero, But do you have any reasons as to why you/we should support National or ACT?

My dear qyiet as much as I would love to go on about my belief in free enterprise and a abhorrence of these people who's great pleasure in life is to boss us around,I will refer you to Rodney who puts my thinking on the above much better than I can.

Of course it helps that jeanette Fitzsimmons, who campaigned to get the hydro stopped in Otago and is against a number of forms of power generation owns an enormous number of shares in the wind farm company - the power generation she is currently promoting. Naturally its all because its so green and nothing to do with any profits she might make. :D

You can get the complete list of parties from www.elections.org.nz though.

381209 2005-08-16 00:24:00 "Helen is good at hoodwinking."
And signing paintings she didn't paint and burying her head in the sand when a car is doing 170km or so. She was also the one who started off all the health reforms when she was holding hands with Roger Douglas and co. She married for political reasons. These things show she will do anything at all to get what she wants.
She deffinately won't get my vote.
