| 381558 | 2005-08-17 06:31:00 | I'm not 100% sure, but I think that differentiating between credit card and cash prices (in print at least) might be a breach of their Credit card user authorisation, either that or it hides in Consumer law somewhere. Going a little further, if that is so, you might be entitled to claim the cash price for a credit card purchase. Since they are an on-line seller only, it might be a bit hard to actually pay cash but I suppose you could give it to them if you choose the pick-up option instead of delivery!I've seen before websites saying that if you pay via credit card they will add an extra 2-3% to the price? I guess when they are already cutting their prices (profit margins), they don't want to pay out the credit card commission fee. I've also understood that "cash" is the same as direct debit or cheque? Be interested on whether legally they can differentiate in print the price between the two payment options. :) <sorry, back on topic> :p |

You can however have a cash discount. With etailers cash is usually considered to be direct debit, unless of course they're picking up in person and paying in cash. |
