Attached file: DESKTOP.bmp (www.imagef1.net.nz) (183 KB)

For some reason I cannot have the show desktop quick launch button on the silver bar unless it is 2 x height as shown in the pic or not showing at all.
I have an Mini Note which has an 8.9" screen so screenspace is a premium.

I have tried right-clicking on the toolbar, desktop etc buy none of the options seem to get it back to normal.

666571 2008-05-06 11:45:00 Have you tried dragging the vertical divider Joe Blogs (35)
666572 2008-05-06 20:32:00 The divider on the left (subtle little vertical dots?) I can drag across. But it that doesn't help. The problem seems to be i can't thin-out the icons on the right hand side to one layer. supersi (8401)
666573 2008-05-06 21:17:00 Right click the Task Bar - untick " Lock the taskbar" then try dragging it smaller - put the curser on the edge of the task bar till it goes to a double headed arrow, left click/hold down and drag Drag Here (www.imagef1.net.nz) wainuitech (129)
666574 2008-05-06 21:36:00 If dragging the top edge down doesn't work, drag the bottom vertical dots along to the right before going back to dragging the top edge down as Wainui advised. We have all had this experience. Sometimes it takes some fiddling! linw (53)
666575 2008-05-07 08:58:00 I unticked 'lock toolbar' but tghe verticsl dots won't move! If I take the 'show desktop' off the toolbar I can then reduce the toolbar to 1x. As soon as I reinstate in it I can't reduce the toolbar.
This is driving me up the wall.

Not really, why did you drag it out like that in the first place? We only have ourselves to blame when we mess things up (as I do often).
