According to this article in Wired (wired.com), enterprising thieves, pirates and other cut-throats are hacking XP and releasing their hacks, churning out different versions of the OS. There are rescue versions (a la Knoppix), and a lite version (< 300MB). Many claim to be better than the original. Too bad all this energy and innovation is being spent on ft. |

| 383243 | 2005-08-24 02:39:00 | There is a well regarded live CD repair tool called "Bart's PE" which builds a live CD from your legal XP system. It's well worth a look. I was disappointed to find that it doesn't do Win2k. He's made great efforts to make it a "legal" thing, after MS got a bit stroppy about the first version. | Graham L (2) | ||
