I downloaded a free MySQL server thing, of the mysql website, but im not sure how to use it. it just comes up with this *enter new root password* then its completed. If your meaning a *server* server then no, at least i dont think so...

There is no need to install MySQL on your own computer (other than for local testing). When you have decided on a web host, they will provide you with a MySQL database. All that you will need to do with your scripts is enter your database name, username and password. :) |
