| 666431 | 2008-05-06 05:14:00 | I have some generic mouse with no drivers. It has buttons on the thumb for Forward/Back Currently they increase/decrease volume. How can I set them to Forward/Back? |

If not then you will have to find out who made the mouse, go to their site and download the driver / Software package for the model you have. |

| 666436 | 2008-05-06 08:52:00 | I just gave X-Mouse Button Control (XMBC) a quick once over and it's quite a handy little utility app. The download from the link above (2 MB) requires install but I duplicated the two app files it installed, uninstalled then ran the executable and it seemed to operate just fine so seems to be quite portable (and several times lighter at a zipped 180 KB) so I've added it to my folder of portable apps (www.imagef1.net.nz). I've zipped and uploaded it (stash.ableapp.com) for anyone brave and willing to confirm it works no probs. It's pretty helpful, especially with application specific mouse-button mappings. Making the middle-click a useful button outside of web browsing is great and you can exclude firefox.exe from losing middle-click for links too. Edit: Forum time is slipping further, 8 mins slow now |
