don't you mean "inquire, enquire" not to be confused with HOMONYMS

383480 2005-08-24 19:23:00 Yeah, it's called Google.
Seriously.

That's what I use when in doubt. If that doesn't help, I use the spell check in Word.

Free, but effective.

383485 2005-08-24 22:55:00 Hi Cicero. Has some thousands more entries. Allows me to modify entries, has anagrams, has a neat find facility and if it does not have the word you are looking for will search countless other on-line dictionaries. Have forgotten whether the free version allowed me to choose English English over American English. The pro version does. Have a shufty here for some detail. Here (http://wordweb.info/)
I'm also old fashioned, in that if I download a free programme and appreciate the work involved and its use, I frequently make a donation or upgrade.....

383486 2005-08-24 23:58:00 Google also provides definitions for the words you enter as well, in the top right often the word Defn will appear. Just click on it netchicken (4843)
383487 2005-08-25 01:43:00 www.dictionary.com doesn't do a bad job of interpreting spelling mistakes. Greg (193)
383488 2005-08-25 02:21:00 Another vote for Wordweb. And good for you Scouse, I also pay for stuff when I judge that it is really worth-while. Winston001 (3612)
