Anybody used XPComputers (www.xpcomputers.co.nz) in Newmarket?
Good customer service, after sales support?

668136 2008-05-10 08:24:00 Why not use Ascent Here (http://www.ascent.co.nz/) since they do free postage and have good customer service. gary67 (56)

Those retailers are pretty much the best out there anyway.

668139 2008-05-10 09:54:00 I've use XP Computers once before.

Thats where I got my replacement mobo from in Dec 06. Since that was the only place, (close to me), I could find a 478 pin mobo.

Havent had a prob with it, since I installed it.

I havent had to go back.

Yea I realise that, but have been asked to get quotes from a set number of sources I'm afraid.

I get a quote from between 2 and 4 companies at the most, and never try to go to the really budget providers. I go for ones which I have heard good things about. If you are buying an actual PC, you are better to pay a bit more for decent customer service, as you are more likely to need after sales service, than you are for a single PC part. Two I use are pp.co.nz and ascent.co.nz. Either that, or you could buy the parts seperately, and get a local computer technician to put it together fo you.

PC retailing is also probably the most competive market in NZ, so you are unlikely to get a huge varience in the quotes.

Would normally not bother getting quotes from more then those initial few, but have specifically been asked to find a larger number. I shall then simply say that the original group have good service and are therefore worth the few extra dollars.

Cheers
