| 385383 | 2005-09-02 04:34:00 | ........only this time the pc world is calling it the greatest thing in puters since stacks of punch cards. What I'm talking about is dual-core processors. Like..WOWOWOWOWOWIE! Amiga had it first...yup, the good old (and defunct) Commodore Amiga had THREE co-processors...I think I can remember the names of two of them..Hortense and Portia, the third excapes me. Was the last one Agnes? Hmmmmmmmmmmm. BTW, the original Star-Wars movies were processed by the Amiga, as it had the fastest (not in kHZ, but capacity) processor team in the known world. Makes me wonder where Commodore would be now if Mr. Bill didn't money them to death. The Pet 40/40 had a vastly superior opsys (CBM) than the pc's of today with their ms-dos. :D |

They were dedicated chips so they're weren't the same thing at all. Yes dual core CPUs have been out a while now, and next is quad core. Dual core GPUs are also next. I liked my Amiga and it lasted the longest of any computer I ever had but its past it now. |
