However, the psyological profiling bit is rather paranoid. A lot of the registry stuff, and "ghost copies" of stuff on your PC are supposed to (according to MS) help. Like speed things up, and so on. This is one reason that after a while you notice your XP PC is a bit sluggish. My friend wrote a little reg clean to empty all this rubbish out - to retain your desktop settings etc though you first need to boot into DOS and back up a certain folder and shuffle things around a bit. Then run his cleaner then restore your saved reg bit back. Not a big hassle though. Its also one of the reasons he hates XP with a passion. |

| 384364 | 2005-08-29 05:13:00 | Interesting website ... Looks like a place that anyone with access to a keyboard and internet connection can post their opinions. If you are really that concerned with what MS is getting up to, then install a different OS. There is that choice. :) This is the lead in to another article on that website which cracked me up: quote: The large amount of sexist and mis-leading advertising currently being shown on television which is derogative and degrading towards men and portrays women as being more intelligent and "worth it" is absolutely evil; extremely arrogant and is the root cause of many of the problems we are all now encountering in modern society. Oh_dear. :waughh: |

I have been wanting a mac for quite sometime now, because I work with alot of graphics and 3d, I think mac would be a good choice . (Or so Ive heard) But if you check around on that website, youll see even more disturbing articles, in any area . . . lol maybe ppl have too much free time on there hands and not enough psychological help =/ Later mates . |

| 384368 | 2005-08-29 20:53:00 | Disturbing.....depends how you look at it. Its not some big spyware plot by MS, its just what they thought was a good way to speed things up and have lots of redundancy. Most people are oblivious to it anyway - its just annoying clutter to a few who don't like it. |
