| 668171 | 2008-05-10 23:16:00 | You need to set the music as background here is an article (www.howto-outlook.com) that explains how. Just remember though, it will increase the size of the email, so make sure the .wav is not to big, esp if the receiving ( or yourself) only has dial up. |

| 668174 | 2008-05-11 22:08:00 | Thanks for your help on this. First tried (MS Office 03) View-> Toolbars-> Web Tools and after clicking on the sound icon got This object was created in MTMLInlinessound Ctl. This application in not available to open this object." Then tried your suggestion Create a new Mail, then FORMAT-Background-> Sound. Under Background all that comes up is the colour format option am I missing something here? Many thanks |

| 668176 | 2008-05-11 22:44:00 | That method posted is for Outlook Express - as it mentions in the article, its a lot harder to embed a sound in Outlook - Outlook is designed for OFFICE use,so sounds are not generally used, if you needed something like that then a Power point would be a alternative option. BUT even though getting emails with embedded music can be a pain , it also depends on how its set, either to play once or repeat - who knows could be a happy birthday mail - mothers day ( bit late that was yesterday). But heres how to do it ( in pictures) from Outlook express - Create a new mail, click Format-Background- Sound 1st Step (www.imagef1.net.nz) Then in the Box that pops out (www.imagef1.net.nz) navigate to the audio file and insert. |
