These are the exact reasons why I don't use Linux anymore, and I urge all those penguin-heads to read this article and reconsider your mistaken, and frankly, zealous anti-Windows views. Why is it that after 10 years of Linux, it still hasn't managed to corner even 5% of the desktop user market? Don't you get it? Windows is much better. Peace and Prosperity. |

They missed one big point though. Windows always ensures that I am informed about any offers to increase my ability to perform for the ladies. Remember girls if someone is using another operating system, you may be short changed. -Qyiet |

I use Linux because it's a real OS, it's fast, it's easy to use and I understand it . It doesn't do things to me; it does things for me . I use Windows reluctantly because I use some cross-platform compilers and other software which is Windows-only, and I can't be bothered with emulators . I don't want Linux to look like Windows . I don't want it to "work" like Windows . I want it to work predictably . That means I don't want it to be "intutive" . I don't want it to be "user friendly" . I don't want it to automatically install new hardware . I don't want it to complain at length if I unplug hardware . I want it to do what I tell it to do . I'm happy to tell the OS when I've installed something . If vinref doesn't like Linux, that's fine . It's not compulsory . But don't ask me to like Windows . That's not compulsory either . |
