1426748 2016-10-01 03:21:00 Hi,

I have created an Excell spread-sheet to track project balances. The setting up of this was easy.

What I want to do is set up a rule that causes the font colour in one cell to be white if there is no text in another cell, eg, when a cell is empty, the one next to it *appears) emply as the text is white.

I have tried YouTube, online and a whole pile of things. I know its something to do with Conditional Formatting but for the life of me can't sort it.

Can anyone assist please???

Cheers, Apo

Are we talking an empty string "" or no value, possibly NULL or zero value or even white spaces?

How does the value that you want the text to be white get generated as that needs to be entered into the formula too.

Anyways, later on I'll show you how I would do it and you will just need to modify it to suit you.

All I wanted to do was make duplicate values within the same column invisible. I managed to find the answer HERE - www.youtube.com

But thanks for your offer to help. Apo
