1426298 2016-09-21 01:39:00 I have just received my first Spark account since "upgrading" (I use that word loosely.... sigh) to W10.... I used to be able to right click on the account and choose print, then select which pages to print.... now I get one option (it defaults to Edge) which is Save.... I got around the issue by saving the account on my desktop and printing the pages I wanted, but this is a hassle.....

How can I set Chrome as my browser of choice please?

Also, often when I open a web page and click on an icon I get advertisements - games, invitations to meet Russian women etc. Any suggestions what could be causing this and how do I get rid of it..... Apple is becoming more attractive by the minute.... I am using AVG free and have for many years without any problems.

Thanks in advance -

Personally I'd ditch AVG in favour of something much better. Try the NOD32 online scanner too :)

That's why Edge opens it. Or install something like sumatrapdf.

Bryden AVG wouldn't stop a cold, wouldn't be at all surprised if you have malware. The inbuilt AV in W10 is better than AVG ( and thats saying something) :p

See Avast-is-now-malware-shame-on-you (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) that thread, AVG is now owned by Avast.

As the link PCUSER posted, takes a couple of seconds to change the default -- Its called learn the system, its not hard, in many ways its a lot easier. Learning a whole New OS ( unless you already know Apple) would be a lot more time consuming.

One Hint -- Anything you want to know or change try typing it into search on windows, careful thinking of wording often brings up the setting you want. Eg. Default browser ;)

Heres a test ---- say you want to change your power settings -- type one word in search that it relates to. Hint "change" is not a setting. Hint 2 I've actually given the answer.

You can also download and run ( in deep scan) www.zemana.com Get the 30 day trial, let it scan, when finished carefully check the results, in case it picks up any programs you have that you know are OK.

It was a free giveaway a while back, not to sure if the licence code will still work or not, if it does it will give you 400 days licence. Worst case it will reject it and you'll only have the 30 days.
