| 1426139 | 2016-09-17 11:38:00 | Did a clean install of Win 10 to this laptop, everything works as it should but, Just notice that the left Shift key is not working - can't type a Capital letter with holding down the left Shift key; the right Shift key works OK. 'Sticky key' is disabled - doesn't help. |

| 1426143 | 2016-09-18 01:51:00 | Plugged in a USB KB as suggested, both the Shift key worked. Can I confirm that it's the KB itself? How 'easy' it is to remove the key button (without damaging it) to check whether there's anything stuck in between? |

| 1426144 | 2016-09-18 03:28:00 | Usually it's as easy as levering it up with something, most keys pop off quite easily. To confirm it is simple, plug it into a different PC and see if it has the same problem there. Spilt anything near your PC recently ? |

How 'easy' it is to remove the key button (without damaging it) to check whether there's anything stuck in between? getting key off = easy getting it back on = hard waste of time trying to fix a laptop keyboard . Not that expensive for a replacement (usually) in fact, its cheaper for us to send them out for replacement than to buy the part ourselves (at trade price) |
