| 1424284 | 2016-08-09 21:47:00 | Had the misfortune to lose my batphone the other day, rang Vodafone to block the sim, did that ok, got a new phone and blank sim, registered that ok, was worried about my contacts, but they seem to have been transferred when the new card was registered. Is this what happens? | Whenu (9358) | ||
| 1424285 | 2016-08-09 22:15:00 | Seems to be kosher. When I went from an S5 to a Note with a new SIM all my contacts etc were transferred. Surprised the bejeezus out of me. No idea how they do it, and don't really care but I was impressed. |

As I get older and grizzlier I am getting concerned as to how much stuff the likes of Google pinch from my devices, however I also presume they find my life as mundane as I do! |

| 1424289 | 2016-08-10 00:10:00 | When I bought a new phone, had the nano sim, but contacts were easily transferred/restored from previous micro sim via Google Contacts. Also Photos through Google Photo's. But I think you can't personalise ringtones in Google contacts. Need to have contacts stored on phone, or use some kind of App or workaround. | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||

For Gmail users, it is quite good for contacts transfer. However, if you switched to a new phone, there are other kinds of data needed to be transferred other than contacts. In this case, you need to find a more suitable app instead. |
